The Vodafone Innovation Hub at University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest is a great example of how to use technology to “connect for a better future”. It has become a powerful digital incubator, leveraging the energy and ideas of students and academics.
Ideas that have already become reality since the hub launched in 2023 include advanced hashtag#IoT sensors for medical applications and intelligent environmental monitoring, hashtag#AI algorithms for telco applications, and nanosatellites – supported by a fully functional rocket - that fit in the palm of your hand used for weather predictions and precision agriculture.
Our Romanian team has a great legacy of using innovation to improve lives. A network of drones managed in partnership with Salvamont, the country’s National Mountain Rescuers Association has supported rescuers in saving thousands of lives by covering more ground around the Carpathian Mountains.
